NEW!!! 85 Hymns Accompaniment
Have a look and listen…
These random videos are to demonstrate how preludes and chorales of the Accompaniment book for the 85 Hymns could sound (I recorded these in the Langley church with an iPhone on a microphone stand on a Saturday morning). I played some hymns on the organ and some hymns on the piano to show that the music is suitable for both organ and piano. The pdf-files are just the prelude, as I would like you to purchase the book with all 85 hymns (plus “O Canada”).
Hymn 7 “Glory be to God the Father”
Hymn 14 “Prayer of Habakkuk”
Hymn 20 “A great and mighty wonder”
Hymn 32 “Christ the Lord is risen today”
Hymn 39 “Our Saviour, when He told his own”
Hymn 41 “Christ, above all glory seated”
Hymn 49 “The Spirit, sent from heaven above”
Hymn 55 “Who trusts in God…”
Hymn 64 “What is in life and death…”
Hymn 72 “Behold the amazing gift of love”
Hymn 74 “Our outer nature wastes away”
Hymn 85 “Now thank we all our God”

Sounds nice and by looking at the written preludes as above they don’t seem too challenging, which is good (I think for many of us) . I am looking forward to purchasing a copy and making use of it. I am always looking to expand my music library with quality music like this that will help me to accompany the congregation is the singing of praises to our God.
Hi Frank:
First of all, I think your playing, and music is excellent, and I thoroughly enjoy it. I’d like to encourage you and Tim N to work on a publication to help those of us who are mediocre players, and find ourselves in the position of accompanying congregational singing. I’m particularly looking for simpler music (with no accidentals, written in the simple style of the older Hymnals (ie blue hymnal of the Chr. Ref. Church). I don’t know what the grade level is, but as a learning piano player of moderate ability it was manageable and enjoyable for me. Our Can. Ref, federation is in great need of ‘simple;’ music for it’s members. Those learning, but also those to whom God has not gifted exceptionally.
Thanks to both of you for your work, keep it up. I’m looking forward to more publications.
With appreciation,
Renée vdK (Maranatha, Surrey, B.C.).
Hello Frank
Congratulations on your new publication. I pray it will contribute greatly to people praising our God.
